Liverpool travel to the John Smith’s Stadium to face Huddersfield on Tuesday night, and Jurgen Klopp must make changes in midfield if he wants to turn their poor recent form around.

The Reds are on a disappointing run of two losses in a row, the first coming in the league against basement club Swansea, and the second as they crashed out in the fourth round of the FA Cup against West Bromwich Albion.

It was the loss against the Swans that was most shocking, as it came straight after a famous 4-3 win that condemned league leaders Manchester City to their first domestic loss of the season.

It has left them with work to do in the race for the Champions League, with Tottenham now sitting two points behind them, and Arsenal gaining ground by reducing their gap to five.

Their loss to West Brom in the cup will disappoint Klopp, with a big chance for some silverware now gone after Jay Rodriguez’s double secured a 3-2 win for the Baggies.

Opponents Huddersfield sit in 14th in their first season in the Premier League, with Klopp’s best friend David Wagner at the helm.

The Terriers have been massively inconsistent this season, and are coming off a run of three losses in a row.

This is Futbol have selected Liverpool’s best possible starting XI for Tuesday’s clash, including a midfield overhaul among five changes.
