Everton fans were fuming with Jonjoe Kenny on social media as they watched their side slump to a 4-0 defeat, courtesy of Tottenham.
The Toffees fell behind in the 26th minute as Son Heung-min put Spurs ahead, then a second-half brace from Harry Kane and a goal from Christian Eriksen, confirmed the heavy defeat.
The loss meant that Everton had now suffered four defeats in a row, and hadn’t won any of their last six games.
This left Toffees fans in a bad mood on Twitter, and Kenny took the brunt of their criticism.
One supporter believed that Tottenham’s attack had basically sent the right-back to get a hot dog, with another saying the 20-year-old had no desire.
Kenny has been a regular in the Everton team this season, due to an injury to Seamus Coleman, with many impressed by the youngster’s performances.
The right-back has made 21 appearances across all competitions so far, and has registered one assist.
However, despite performing well previously this season, Toffees fans weren’t keen to let him off the hook.
The Everton supporters may have taken their anger out on the defender, but they were also left frustrated by their attacking options, as their side failed to register a shot on target.

Basic rule for fullbacks is never be deeper than your centre backs. Holgate let Kane go past him but Kenny kept him onside #efc

Kenny is loved for being scouse and not being Martina. In reality he wouldn't get in many PL sides #efc

Why’s Kenny playing a couple of yards behind Holgate who’s next to him? #efc

@SpursOfficial targeted @Everton weak full backs at Goodison and won 3-0. Exactly the same tonight as we didnt learn. Kenny and Martina both exposed time and time again #EFC #EFCawayday

Holgate and Kenny like a pair of Madame Tussaud’s models there, #EFC.
