Aston Villa have been installed as the clear favourites to sign out-of-favour Leicester City striker Leonardo Ulloa in the January transfer window.
Skybet have installed the Villans as the team most likely to sign the Argentine forward before the end of the transfer window in just under three weeks time.
Steve Bruce’s side have been installed at 5/2 to secure the signing the 31-year-old, well ahead of any other side who have been priced in the race for his signature.
Their closest competitors are currently Leeds, who are priced at 14/1, and Sunderland who have been installed at 16/1.
Rounding out the top five are La Liga sides Getafe and Levante, both priced at 18/1.
As previously reported by the Birmingham Mail, Villa have shown interest in bringing in Ulloa this month, with Bruce wanting a front man with Premier League experience.
Ulloa has made 102 appearances for the Foxes since his move from Brighton in 2014, scoring 20 goals in that time, and being part of the Premier League-winning squad in 2016.
OPINION
Ulloa would be a quality signing for Villa as they look to beef up their attack this month, and the Argentine had a great scoring record in the Championship with Brighton. He has been massively out of contention at Leicester in the last couple of seasons though, and is in desperate need of game time. Villa would be able to offer him that, with their striking options currently stretched. However, this would look in many ways to be a short-term signing, especially if Villa gain promotion to the Premier League at the end of the season.
