Leeds United fans on Twitter have urged the club to sign Middlesbrough midfielder Adam Clayton in the January transfer window.
The window re-opens in the New Year and the club’s supporters have already identified a target they want the Whites to pursue to improve the squad.
Clayton was previously on the books at Elland Road between 2010-12, where he made 50 appearances for the Yorkshire giants before being shown the exit doors to join Huddersfield.
The English central midfielder is renowned for his no-nonsense approach and being a physical force, something that made him popular with fans.
However, he has struggled to find consistency at the Riverside this season with Boro and made just 14 appearances across all competitions.
Leeds fans on social media have identified Clayton as a good target for January and feel that he could aid their promotion bid.

Leeds are currently firmly in the mix for the play-offs and even have one eye on thee automatic spots.
Clayton would bolster the midfield options if he was to re-sign for Thomas Christiansen’s side and could face a difficult battle for a starting position.
Ronaldo Vieira, Kalvin Phillips and Eunan O’Kane are currently the senior options in pole position for the central midfield positions.
