Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to rave over the display of Jack Grealish in their team’s 1-1 Championship draw with Leeds United on Friday night.
The attacking midfielder, 22, was summoned from the bench after 65 minutes at Elland Road with his team 1-0 down to a first-half Pontus Jansson header that was due reward for the home side’s dominance.
But Grealish delivered a delicious cameo in which he set up the equaliser for Henri Lansbury and produced a couple of pieces of breathtaking skill that blew the visiting support away.
The former England Under-21 international has only recently returned to fitness after missing three months with kidney problems.
His cameo got the Villa faithful purring on Twitter as they hailed the impact he had on the game and insisted he start in their next league outing.

Watching Grealish last night just confirms in my mind #avfc could see a very good player. Controlling the ball out of the sky ????. #utv

Brilliant to have Grealish back for #avfc Lively contribution off the bench. Must now push to make a starting berth his own particularly in the absence of Kodjia and Hogan. Ability to get us playing / link midfield and attack.

Good point that, good character. Lansbury will get the plaudits, great goal and did well when he came on. Grealish the game changer though, kept the ball better with him on pitch, he uses and manipulated ball v.well. #avfc #utv

Grealish is just what we need to kick on, Hourihane isn't consistent enough so Lansbury back to full fitness is also a plus.

Surely Grealish takes the no10 position after tonight. Onomah did nothing like many games@this season. Grealish looking to run with the ball and create something all the time@tak my pressure off defence.
