Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to slaughter Daniel Candeias for his performance in their 3-1 Scottish Premiership defeat to St Johnstone at Ibrox on Saturday afternoon.
Candeias, 29, was named in the starting XI by interim manager Graeme Murty against Tommy Wright’s side, but lasted just 62 minutes of the game before he was replaced by Niko Kranjcar.
The Portugese winger was one of Rangers’ most effective players in the opening months of the season after arriving among an influx of new summer signings, many of whom were imported from Portugal and Mexico.
Many believe that Candeias has gone completely off the boil since Pedro Caixinha was sacked in late October and that his recent performances have not been up to scratch.
The wide man was one of many who had a poor game against St Johnstone and Rangers fans took to social media to be heavily critical of his performance, with one even claiming that he was worse than famous Ibrox flop Francis Jeffers, who had a miserable loan spell at the club in 2005.
