Rangers are in the hunt to sign Dundee midfielder Glen Kamara in the January window, according to Football Insider.

The reliable football news site claim that the Light Blues have been keeping close tabs on the midfield enforcer, 22, following his all-action display when they lost 2-1 to Dundee last month.

Football Insider report that Kamara’s suitors, including Rangers, are expected to watch the midfielder in action against reigning champions Celtic on Boxing Day and Dundee are bracing themselves for interest in the former Arsenal youngster when the transfer window reopens next month.

A whole host of scouts have already been descending up to Scotland to cast an eye over the 22-year-old in action and they can only have been impressed by what they have seen.

Championship promotion hopefuls Wolves and Cardiff have also been alerted to Kamara as they look to strenghten their squads in January in a bid to maintain their push for promotion to the Premier League.

Barnsley are also interested in Kamara as they look to bolster their midfield options in the New Year as they aim to climb away from trouble at the wrong end of the Championship table.

Good move for Rangers?

Kamara has been a revelation for Dundee since joining the Scottish Premiership outfit in the summer from Arsenal.

The Finland international has been earning rave reviews in Scotland and he has arguably been one of the best signings in the Scottish Premiership this term.

The tough-tackling midfielder has been an ever-present for Dundee so far this campaign and he has been one of the club’s shining lights in what has been a difficult first half of the season for the Dens Park outfit.
