West Ham pulled off another impressive result on Wednesday as they held Arsenal to a 0-0 draw at the London Stadium, but Hammers fans on Twitter were not too impressed by the performance of Manuel Lanzini.
David Moyes secured his first win as West Ham manager at the weekend as an early goal from Marko Arnautovic gave them a 1-0 win over defending champions Chelsea.
His side then followed up that performance with another solid display as they came away with a well-earned point against another of the Premier League’s top sides.
Both sides hit the woodwork as they went in search of a goal that never came, with Alex Iwobi striking the outside of Adrian’s post before Javier Hernandez smashed a late effort against the bar.
West Ham’s clean sheet represented the first time in three months that the Gunners had failed to score in the Premier League, and is a big step forward for a defence that holds the second-worst record in the competition.
Despite the result, the Hammers still remain deep in relegation trouble for now, lying in 19th place on 14 points from their opening 17 fixtures.
They are however level on points with West Brom in 17th, and only three behind Brighton who sit in 13th place.
After the game, West Ham fans turned their attention to attacking midfielder Lanzini, who has looked off the pace under Moyes so far.
The diminutive Argentine was again anonymous as he tries to adapt to the new system at the Hammers, and fans were quick to question his display on Twitter.

Only negatives last night Arfur was obviously told to stay back more, not one single attacking dribble I don't think! And Lanzini's form is worrying very average. Apart from that another solid performance #IRONSX

After watching the last few West Ham games I'm getting the impression that Lanzini can't be bothered anymore and the feeling he will be leaving in the Jan transfer window. Hes looking very lazy out there

Been saying it for while, Lanzini really needs to step up, great opportunitie to be the main man & he’s totally underperforming. https://t.co/XcrtRqPy8k

To me something seems up with Lanzini, Antonio just getting back to fitness looked tired in the past couple games, would drop Lanzini and introduce Hernandez for the time being.

I must say Lanzini needs to up his game I feel he’s not been up to scratch the past few games….controversial opinion I know but it’s my honest opinion

Is it me or Lanzini has been absolutely useless

lanzini > biggest fraud in football

Lanzini is a real weak link. Never shows what he could do when with payet
— Julie Trudgill (@julie_trudgill) December 13, 2017
We need to bring in a creative midfielder in January, Lanzini has a disaster class but can’t be dropped as we have no one to fill the role

Lanzini poor today. Barely done a thing in game. Yet to get going under Moyes and this season.
