Everton attacker Sandro Ramirez has been axed from the starting XI for the Premier League clash against Southampton – and the club’s supporters are furious on Twitter with the decision.
The 22-year-old has been named on the bench by caretaker boss David Unsworth for the Premier League clash away to the Saints.
Sandro got a rare start on Thursday night and was one of the few positive from a 5-1 loss against Atalanta in the Europa League.
The Spanish centre-forward scored his first goal for the Merseyside club with a clinical finisher on the edge of the box and many people were tipping him to retain his place in the Premier League.
He has lost out to Dominic Calvert-Lewin in the starting XI against Southampton and will hope to do the business off the bench.
Everton fans on social media were angry with the decision to drop Sandro and believe his recent performance was enough to keep his spot in the side.

Sandro must be absolutely gutted. Gets his first goal and then is benched. Mirallas starts yet barely touched the ball on Thursday. At least there is balance to the side, but it's just ridiculous.

Everton are still yet to really settle on their forward position so far this campaign and are without the suspended Oumar Niasse against Southampton.
Sandro has yet to make a serious impact since his summer arrival from Malaga, but he proved last season in La Liga that he can be prolific in front of goal.
He managed 16 goals in 31 games last campaign for Malaga across all competitions and his speed makes him a real threat to defenders.
The striker has put himself back into contention and it remains to be seen whether he can play a more crucial role at Goodison Park as the season progresses.
