West Ham fans have slammed record signing Marko Arnautovic on Twitter after the Hammers fell to a dismal 4-0 loss to Everton on Wednesday night.
A hat-trick from Wayne Rooney, including an incredible goal from beyond the half way line, was capped off by a header from Ashley Williams to give the Toffees a much-needed win.
The result means that David Moyes’ return to Goodison as West Ham boss was a very unhappy one, and leaves the Scot still searching for his first win as Hammers manager.
The result sees Everton climb three places to 13th on 15 points, now five points ahead of the Hammers who remain in the bottom three.
Arnautovic, a £25million summer signing from Stoke, failed to impress once again as he was deployed in an unfamiliar right wing role.
Expectations were high for the Austrian international after his arrival at the London Stadium, but he has emphatically failed to deliver so far.
The winger is yet to register a goal or an assist in his 10 Premier League appearances for the Hammers, with his only success so far coming in the EFL Cup when he provided two assists against Bolton.
He put in another below-par performance on Wednesday against Everton, and Hammers fans were again quick to slam him on Twitter for failing to meet expectations.
