Sunderland fans took to Twitter to express their anger after David Moyes claimed that he made a “poor choice” in taking over at the Stadium of Light last season and failed to do “due diligence”.
Moyes made the comments at his introductory West Ham media conference on Wednesday afternoon following his appointment on Tuesday.

The Scot has taken over at a fourth Premier League club following spell at Everton, Manchester United and Sunderland as well as Real Sociedad in Spain.
Moyes is not fondly remembered at Sunderland, who he joined in the summer of 2016 and guided them to relegation from Premier League in his season in charge.
Supporters of the north-east club were spitting feathers at Moyes’ comment that he did not do his groundwork on their team, with many claiming he made a complete hash of the job after the team had avoided relegation for a decade until his arrival.
