Tottenham talisman Harry Kane has reportedly informed his agent to listen to offers that could see him leave the club in the summer.

Spanish outlet Don Balon reports that the 24-year-old is looking to join Spanish giants Real Madrid or Barcelona if he decides to leave Spurs.

The report claims that Kane wants to take his game to the next level and challenge for the Champions League title every single season.

Good news for Tottenham?

Spurs fans will be devastated to hear that Kane is considering his future at the club especially following the fantastic performance against Madrid in midweek.

Although he failed to get on the scoresheet, the England international was immense up top on his own and he managed to bully both central defenders when it was clear that he was not fully fit.

This will be a blow to manager Mauricio Pochettino, as recent speculation has involved other clubs stepping up their interest in the striker rather than Kane himself taking steps to engineer his departure from North London.

Tottenham must do everything within their power to keep hold of the striker especially if they want to continue building as a team and challenging for the major trophies.

With Kane’s current contract expiring in 2022, the two Spanish sides must be prepared to deal with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy and splash the cash and potentially break the world record transfer fee.

Likely to happen?

Although there has been speculation about both Spanish sides being interested in Kane, they would need to offload one of their current centre-forwards but neither club appears willing to do so.

Luis Suarez and Karim Benzema are the respected first-choice striking options for Barcelona and Madrid respectively but it is highly unlikely that either player will leave in order to facilitate Kane’s inclusion.

A lot will also depend on Tottenham’s progression this season and whether they can challenge for the Premier League title and look to perform well in the Champions League.

Kane does not come across as a player who will push for an exit but one can imagine that his winning ambitions must be matched by the North London if he is stay for the foreseeable future.
