Tottenham are well placed to sign Fulham sensation Ryan Sessegnon – and fans have taken to Twitter to express their delight at the possibility he could replace Danny Rose.
The Telegraph claim Spurs are keeping a close eye on the 17-year-old and believe he would be the ideal player to join the club if Rose leaves either in January of next summer.
It is said that the north Londoners still want Sessegnon despite a failed approach for him in the summer and believe they are in a strong position to do a deal because manager Mauricio Pochettino’s record of develop young English players gives them a major advantage.
The youngster has been a regular in the Fulham side since the age of 16 and was so impressive in his debut senior campaign that he was named in the Championship team of the year.
Fulham reportedly rate the teen, who has been dubbed the new Gareth Bale, in the £30million bracket, which demonstrates his potential to be a world beater if he continues to progress at the same rate.
Spurs fans are excited at the speculation linking them with such an in-demand talent as there is a growing acceptance that Rose will leave the club after he publicly questioned their ambition.
