Tottenham fans are still raving about the display of Kieran Trippier nearly 24 hours after their stunning win over Real Madrid.
Trippier was recalled to the Spurs starting XI after being bench against Manchester United last weekend and responded with one of his best displays for the club.
The right wing-back provided a key attacking outlet to his team and laid on his seventh assist of the season as they beat the Champions League holders 3-1.
The 26-year–old has now recorded 13 assists in all competitions in 2017, six more than any defender, which is comprehensive proof of his value to Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
Tottenham supporters have been won over by the former Burnley defender and took to social media to acclaim him in the wake of one of their most memorable triumphs in recent years.
