Manchester United supporters have singled out defender Victor Lindelof for praise for his display in the Premier League against Brighton on Saturday afternoon.
Jose Mourinho’s side managed to earn three crucial points at Old Trafford against the newly-promoted side thanks to a deflected Ashley Young strike in the second-half.
Summer signing Lindelof managed to complete 90 minutes in the Premier League for only the second time and helped his side to achieve a clean sheet to keep them fighting in the title race.
The result means that United sit in second position just five points behind neighbours Manchester City who face newly-promoted Huddersfield Town on Sunday afternoon.
Although there weren’t particularly impressed with the team’s overall display, the supporters from the red side of Manchester were very quick to praise the defender for his performance.

The Sweden international has struggled to hold down a regular place in the starting lineup since his summer move to Old Trafford but he is likely to feature in more matches over the upcoming festive period.
Lindelof will be seeking to help his team achieve another clean sheet when they face Watford at Vicarage Road in midweek.
