Leeds United youngster Ronaldo Vieira has been included in the top 100 best teenage footballers in world football for 2017.

Popular magazine FourFourTwo have named the central midfielder 85th in their list for outstanding teenage talents in the game.

The 19-year-old has broken into the first team at Elland Road in the past 18 months and is playing an important role this season.

The England Under-20 international is renowned for being a physical midfielder and he has become a mainstay in Thomas Christiansen’s side, completing 90 minutes in the last four consecutive games.

Vieira has made a brilliant step up from the Leeds academy and is not the only upcoming talent at Elland Road that has received recognition recently.

The Guardian named 17-year-old striker Kun Temenuzhkov in their annual Next Generation stars and the former Barcelona academy star is being tipped for stardom.

He is yet to make his first senior appearance for the Whites, but the club’s supporters are patiently waiting for his breakthrough.

OPINION

Vieira is certainly making a big impression during his time at Leeds and is being tipped to end up in the Premier League. The midfielder is already a key player at senior level and is a fierce competitor in the Championship. He is only going to get better as he develops and that could be a worry for opponents as he is already one of the strongest players in most games. Vieira can be a real driving force on his day for Leeds with his all-round strong game and is a nice blend alongside Kalvin Phillips. However, one area of his game he should look to improve is his quality in front of goal and he could become a complete midfielder if he starts scoring on a regular basis.
