Good move for Everton?

The Merseyside club appear to be concentrating on adding potential future stars to their first-team squad instead of experienced individuals.

After a successful loan spell with SPL side Aberdeen where he impressed with his performances, Maddison has been given the opportunity to prove himself at Norwich, and he has certainly made the most of it.

The midfielder appeared to be a cut above the rest in Scotland last season, scoring two goals and providing seven assists in all competitions.

The Englishman has continued to provide an attacking outlet from the middle of the park this season, contributing with four goals and five assists for Norwich so far.

In fact, Josh Murphy and Nelson Oliviera are the only other Norwich players to score more than him in al competitions this season.

It might be a better decision for the Toffees to let the youngster continue progressing in the Championship before making a move for him.

Likely to happen?

With the report detailing that the club’s transfer chief Walsh watched the youngster on the weekend, there is a high possibility that the Toffees might consider tabling an offer when the transfer window opens in January.

The Merseyside club has a reputation for giving youngsters the opportunity to test themselves in the first-team and despite their poor start to the season, any player would be desperate to ply their trade at Goodison Park.

However, with the player’s contract expiring in four years, the Toffees must prepare to spend a lot of money to bring him to Merseyside.
