Everton summer signing Jordan Pickford has received praise from the club’s supporters on social media for his performance with the England national team against Germany on Friday evening.
The 23-year-old enjoyed his first senior appearance for the Three Lions as they managed to come away with a 0-0 draw at Wembley Stadium against the world champions.
The goalkeeper made a series of important saves especially during the first-half as Gareth Southgate’s experiment with youth paid off, with the team producing an inspired display.
England will now look to build on the performance when they welcome Brazil to Wembley Stadium next week.
Toffees supporters were pleased with how their player fared throughout the 90 minutes and many took to social to express their delight at Pickford’s display.

Pickford secured a permanent deal to Goodison Park from Sunderland during the summer transfer window for a reported club record fee.
Although the Toffees have struggled during the early stages of the campaign, the youngster has been one of their standout performers, producing a number of fine displays.
The shot-stopper has demonstrated that he can deliver the goods on the international stage after helping the Under-21 reach the semi-final stages in the European Championships this past summer.
