Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter after on-loan goalkeeper Shamal George was spotted at Melwood today (Thursday).
George, 19, is on a half-season loan at League Two outfit Carlisle United that runs until January after being given the green light to get some first-team experience under his belt.
But Anfield HQ blogger Jack Sear posted an image on his personal Twitter account on Thursday that showed Shamal back at the club’s Melwood headquarters.

The keeper has made six appearances for Carlisle this season but has been on the bench for the last two league fixtures after a run of four consecutive starts.
The highly-rated 19-year-old from the Wirral endured a frustrating campaign in 2016-17, with an elbow problem hampering his progress.
In his absence, the likes of Kamil Grabara and Caoimhin Kelleher both shone for the Reds’ Under-23s side.
George went out on loan at the start of August and Liverpool fans took to social media today to discuss why he appears to be back at his parent club with nearly three months of his loan remaining.

Why is Shamal George back so early?

I’d rather play with Shamal George if it means Chemberlain doesn’t start.
