Tom Davies was dropped from the Everton starting XI against Arsenal – and the club’s supporters were furious on Twitter with the decision.
The 19-year-old midfielder has been axed from the side on Sunday as the Toffees host the Gunners in the Premier League.
Davies completed 90 minutes in the club’s last game in the 2-1 defeat to Lyon on Thursday in the Europa League and has not managed to retain his spot.
The young English talent has failed to cement his position in Ronald Koeman’s side so far this season and has had to make do with a place on the bench.
Everton fans on social media are not pleased with the decision to drop Davies and feel that he deserved a place in the starting line up given his recent form.

Everton are in desperate need of a positive result against Arsenal to ease pressure on under-fire manager Koeman after a poor start to the season.
The Merseyside club are currently 16th in the Premier League table and were expected to be pushing for a top-six finish after a busy summer of spending.
They are without a win in their last four games across all competitions and many of the fans at Goodison Park are growing restless.
Everton’s recent history against Arsenal is not pretty reading as they have lost three of their last four meetings against them.
