Everton are reportedly lining up a move to sign West Ham forward Andy Carroll – and the club’s supporters are furious on Twitter with the speculation.

The Sun claim that the Toffees are weighing up a £20million bid in January for the target man.
It is understood that Ronald Koeman has placed the Englishman top of his list and want to bring him to Goodison Park when the transfer window re-opens.

The report details that West Ham could sell Carroll for an acceptable sum in January and that he has just 18 months remaining on his £110,000-a-week deal.

Everton fans on social media are angry with the interest in Carroll and have vented their frustration at manager Koeman.

Carroll, 28, has been with West Ham for the last four years and scored 30 goals in 118 appearances.

The 6ft 4in powerhouse striker has struggled with injuries throughout his career and it would be a major risk to splash out £20million for his services.

However, Everton are in desperate need of some reinforcements in attack as they are yet to replace Romelu Lukaku.

Oumar Niasse has been given a second chance in the Toffees first team, while Sandro Ramirez and Dominic Calvert-Lewin are also looking to chip in with goals.

However, the Merseyside club are in need of a main centre-forward and it appears Carroll could be the solution in January.
