Tottenham have had three flops included in the top 20 worst strikers in Premier League history.

The Daily Mail has included Roberto Soldado (20th), Grzegorz Rasiak (16th) and Vincent Janssen (12th) in their list.

Former Hull and Sunderland forward Jozy Altiodre topped the pile as the worst since the Premier League’s induction in 1992, with just two goals in seven games.

Spurs have had a number of brilliant strikers in recent memory, but here have also been the fair share of failures to go along with that.

Soldado enjoyed a miserable spell in English football with the North London club and may have been even further up the list if his ability from the penalty spot wasn’t so good.

The Spanish centre-forward struggled to make a serious impact and is remembered by supporters for his poor touch in front of goal, while also having very little pace.

Rasiak placed 16th on the list and he spent just a year with Spurs between 2005-06.

He made just nine appearances for them before being shipped out on loan after six months and failed to score a goal as he looked out of his depth.

Janssen is currently still on the books at Spurs and was shipped out to Fenerbahce on loan in the summer after a disappointing first season in the Premier League.

He struggled to get opportunities behind talisman Harry Kane and does not feature in Mauricio Pochettino’s future plans.

OPINION

Janssen’s place on the Premier League list seems fairly harsh and he still has every chance to revive his career in English football. Many Spurs fans didn’t want the Holland international to be let go in the summer and a similar player in Fernando Llorente has come in as a replacement. Janssen has made a decent start in Turkey and is showing that he can be a prolific goalscorer. The 23-year-old can hold up the ball well and just needs a confidence boost before having another crack in the Premier League.
