Man United fans react to Mane injury

Manchester United fans have taken to Twitter to express their delight that Sadio Mane has been ruled out of Saturday’s Premier League clash against Liverpool.

The Merseyside giants announced on their official website on Tuesday afternoon that the brilliant attacker is facing six weeks on the sidelines with a hamstring injury sustained on international duty.

Mane was substituted 89 minutes into Senegal’s 2-0 World Cup qualifying win over the Cape Verde Islands on Saturday.

Liverpool have now confirmed that he picked up an injury during that fixture that could keep him out of action until the end of November.

The absence of the speed machine is a shattering blow for Liverpool as they begin preparations for the visit of bitter rivals United to Anfield on Saturday.

Mane has scored three goals in four Premier League appearances this season after an excellent debut campaign, and has been named as one of the 30 nominees on the Ballon D’Or list.

By contrast, United fans are pleased their team will not have to contend with one of the top flight’s most dangerous attackers.
