Hugo Lloris (Goalkeeper) – The Frenchman should retain his spot in goal and reminded everyone against Madrid that he is one of the world’s best goalkeepers.
Toby Alderweireld (Centre-back) – He should be used as the right-sided defender and should see plenty of the ball against Liverpool. The Belgian is good enough to snuff out the clever movement from Philippe Coutinho and that will go a long way to stopping them.
Davinson Sanchez (Centre-back) – The Colombian should be in the centre of a three-man defence and should dominate the battle against Roberto Firmino.
Jan Vertonghen (Centre-back) – The experienced defender has the know-how in these big games and should be a calming influence on the Spurs team.
