Can Spurs shake off Wembley hoodoo against the Cherries?

|

Mauricio Pochettino’s flying Tottenham play host to Eddie Howe’s struggling AFC Bournemouth on Saturday.

Spurs are yet to win at Wembley in the Premier League so far this season, so the Cherries will be looking to continue the Wembley hoodoo for the north London side on the weekend.

The Cherries sit in 19th spot in the league after a pretty shocking start to the season, which has seen them pick up just one win, one draw and then five losses.

Eddie Howe’s side will be coming up against one of the world’s most in-form strikers in Harry Kane, and he’ll undoubtedly be looking to score again to help relinquish the Wembley hoodoo and propel Spurs up the league table.

In-terms of team news, Spurs look set to be without Danny Rose once again.

The left-back is gradually regaining full fitness after a long lay-off with a knee injury, this means that Wales international Ben Davies is set to start for Pochettino’s side.

Dembele, Lamela and Wanyama are all struggling with injuries and are very unlikely to feature for Spurs against the Cherries on Saturday.

Meanwhile Bournemouth are boosted with the return of clinical striker Callum Wilson, who is coming back following  a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

Tyrone Mings, Adam Federici and Ryan Fraser are all unavailable and won’t be featuring for the south coast side against Spurs at Wembley.

On paper, this match is only going one way and it’s hard not to see a Tottenham Hotspur home victory at Wembley on Saturday.

Though we’ve said that before when Swansea and Burnley visited England’s national stadium to face off against the north London outfit.

The Cherries, who agreed a partnership with an established online casino Mansion, need to ensure they snuff out the threat of Christian Eriksen early doors, the Danish star seems to be the architect of everything going forward at the moment and his supply line to Harry Kane needs to be stopped.

Josh King, despite his recent injury, is Eddie Howe’s hope and key factor for AFC Bournemouth win.

Quick, skilful and an eye for goal, the Norweigan player needs to bring his A-Game to Wembley on Saturday to give the Cherries any hope of picking up some vital points.

With Bournemouth currently languishing in 19th spot, it’s imperative the club start picking up points as soon as possible and Saturday against Spurs would be a good start.
