David Prutton has predicted Aston Villa to draw when they face Fulham on Saturday.

The Midlands giants host Fulham in the Championship encounter and will be looking to bounce back from their recent disappointment.

Steve Bruce’s side lost 2-0 to leaders Wolves in their last game and it means they are currently seventh in their league standings.

They had won their previous four consecutive games before the Wolves defeat and now have eyes on the play-off positions.

Meanwhile, Fulham are ninth in the league table and are undefeated in their last four matches.

Sky Sports pundit Prutton has tipped a 1-1 scoreline between the two teams when they clash at Villa Park on Saturday afternoon.

“Aston Villa were pretty comprehensively beaten by Wolves last weekend and Steve Bruce will want a reaction back at Villa Park on Saturday,” Prutton told Sky Sports.

“Fulham will be a tough proposition, however, and although Villa will want to prove they can beat the better teams in the Championship, I think Slavisa Jokanovic’s side will be good for a draw.”

OPINION

Villa are beginning to build some momentum and a defeat to current leaders Wolves should not set them back too much. They have managed to settle on a formation and Bruce is beginning to know his best XI that can grind out results in the Championship. Fulham are one of the teams that are likely to be up near the top end of the table come the end of the season and should prove a stern test at the weekend. However, if Villa can keep a defensive resilience they the players in the final third to make a real difference.
