Arsenal came from a goal down to beat Swansea City 2-1 in the Premier League on Saturday – and fans took to Twitter to slaughter midfielder Granit Xhaka.

The Switzerland international, 25, was selected in central midfield alongside Aaron Ramsey as Arsene Wenger’s side came from behind to win for the third match in a row.

The Swans led through a 22nd minute Sam Clucas goal against the run of play but two quick goals after the interval turned the game around.

Sead Kolasinac fired in an equaliser before turning provider seven minutes later when he cut back from the left for Ramsey to steer in via the foot of goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski.

Supporters took to social media to express their dissatisfaction at Xhaka, who was named in the league starting XI for the 10th consecutive match and played the full 90 minutes.

Criticism ranged from wonky passing to what some claimed was his laboured style of play.
