Jacob Murphy made a late cameo appearance off the bench in the defeat to Burnley – and the Newcastle United fans destroyed him on Twitter.
The Magpies suffered a narrow 1-0 loss away to Burnley on Monday night and the result meant they dropped to ninth in the Premier League table.
Jeff Hendrick scored the decisive goal for the hosts in the second-half with a finish from close-range and decided what was a close affair.
The North East club lacked quality in the final third and manager Rafael Benitez decided to bring on Murphy from the bench in the latter stages.
The 22-year-old winger entered the match with 79 minutes gone and was unable to make an impact during his brief stay on the pitch.
However, Newcastle fans on social media were highly critical of his minimal impact and have grown frustrated with his lack of end product since his £12million arrival in the summer from Norwich.

Murphy has endured a frustrating start to life at St James’ Park this season and been on the fringes of the squad so far.
The England Under-21 international has found himself down the pecking order in the battle for the wide position and is yet to show his quality.
He is still awaiting his first goal for Newcastle after six appearances, but he has still only started two games.
Murphy showed his quality last campaign in the Championship with Norwich, scoring eight goals and supplying eight assists.
He is still awaiting a real opportunity to showcase his talents in the top flight and is under big pressure from fans to deliver.
