Midfield
Christian Eriksen (Right-wing) – The playmaker is a certain starter in the combined XI and has started the season in sensational form. He has already picked up three assists this campaign and is a key part of Spurs’ success.
Mario Gotze (Centre-midfield) – Dortmund youngster Julian Weigl would have been in the team if available, but in his absence World Cup winner Gotze can step in. He is beginning to find his best form again following his return to Dortmund and has a similar style to Eriksen.
Mousa Dembele (Centre-midfield) – The powerhouse gets the nod over Eric Dier in the team as he is a more balanced player. Dembele can be unstoppable on his day and is a big physical presence in the centre of the park.
Christian Pulisic (Left-wing) – 18-year-old winger Pulisic has unbelievable potential and is already a star in the Dortmund side. He has great pace and trickery that make him standout in the Bundesliga and earns him a place in the combined XI with Spurs talisman Alli ruled out through suspension.
