According to Sky Sports, Tottenham attacker Erik Lamela is close to a first-team return for Tottenham and fans are delighted by the news.
A ‘healthy’ Lamela was pictured by Sky cameras going through a training session at Tottenham.
The report suggests three possible matches that Lamela could be available for – Bournemouth (October 14), Real Madrid (October 17) and Liverpool (October 22).
Lamela last appeared for Tottenham in a League Cup tie against Liverpool on October 25, 2016.
Tottenham have pushed on without their Argentina international – finishing second in the Premier League last season and qualifying for the Champions League.
However, Tottenham fans clearly believe that they will pose even more of an attacking threat when Lamela finally returns.
One fan said Lamela had been gone so long he’d forgotten he played last season.
