Everton supporters raved about Nikola Vlasic on Twitter after their 2-2 Europa League stalemate against Apollon Limassol on Thursday night.
The Merseysiders blew their chance to secure their first victory in the competition this season when they conceded an 88th minute equaliser moments after the visitors had been reduced to 10 men.
It resulted in jeers directed from the Everton faithful to the home side’s players when the final whistle was blown at Goodison Park.
But one man who will look back fondly on the night is summer signing Nikola Vlasic, who scored Everton’s second goal after replacing Idrissa Gueye at half-time.
The Croatian teenager, 19, was praised by manager Ronald Koeman afterwards for bringing energy to the home side as well as a genuine goal threat.
His goal was a clinical finish, as he kept his composure to slot home a Gylfi Sigurdsson pass as goalkeeper Vale closed in.
Everton supporters took to social media to hail the summer signing and claimed he was the one bright spot in an otherwise forgettable display.

Vlasic was brilliant, only real plus. 19 years old, driving that team forward. Criminal if the lad doesn’t start on Sunday #EFC
