Liverpool endured a frustrating night at Anfield in the Champions League on Wednesday, coming away with just a point against Sevilla when they should have had all three.
Roberto Firmino missed a penalty when Liverpool were 2-1 up, but saw his shot rebound off the post.
That would probably have put the tie beyond Sevilla, but as it was they came back to secure a point when Joaquin Correa found an equaliser in the 72nd minute.
However, it wasn’t Firmino or any of the other Liverpool attackers that drew the ire from fans at Anfield.
Instead, the frailties of the defence were the bone of contention again, with Dejan Lovren in particular coming in for sustained criticism from Liverpool fans.
He partnered Joel Matip in central defence, with Joe Gomez on the right and Alberto Moreno on the left.
But Liverpool fans laid into Lovren after the game, with some saying he’s the worst they’ve seen in that position in the Premier League.
This Is Futbol has rounded up some of their best tweets from after the game.
Only saving grace transfer window reopens b4 knockout stages start. We have to buy CB's then. Both Lovren and Klavan not good enough. ???? #LFC

I'm struggling to remember a worse CB in our defence in the last decade. I genuinely don't know what Lovren will do each game #LFC

i think our midfield is as culpable as the defence.. but the "attempted" clearance by Lovren for the 1st goal is really pathetic #LFC

Lovren has made 115 appearances for Liverpool, and when he’s fit he’s seen as one of the first-team centre-backs.
Fans will be hoping that Jurgen Klopp does something about that in January.
Liverpool resume their Champions League challenge in two weeks’ time away at Spartak Moscow.
Their opponents currently top the group after beating Maribor away on Wednesday night and Klopp will know that three points is now the priority.
