Jurgen Klopp has announced his starting XI for Liverpool’s first Champions League match of the new campaign against Sevilla at Anfield.

Mohamed Salah makes the team after missing training yesterday with a sore throat, and there’s a place on the bench for Philippe Coutinho.

The news was announced on the official Liverpool Twitter page ahead of the 7.45pm kick-off.

Liverpool will be looking for revenge against a Sevilla side that beat them in the 2016 Europa League final.

Daniel Sturridge had put the Reds 1-0 up in the 35th minute of the game in Basel, but they unravelled in the second half.

Kevin Gameiro equalised for Sevilla in the 46th minute before a quickfire double from Coke in the 64th and 70th minutes put the tie beyond them.

Sevilla qualified for the Champions League as a result at the expense of Liverpool.

They’re now back on the biggest stage and Liverpool fans will be hoping to make a fast start against a team they’re expected to get three points from at home.

Maribor and Spartak Moscow make up a group that Liverpool should qualify from.
