Jurgen Klopp named his starting XI to take on Sevilla in the Champions League at Anfield on Wednesday night and fans were delighted to see Philippe Coutinho on the bench.
The 25-year-old ace looked to be heading out of Anfield after being courted by Barcelona over the summer and handing in a formal transfer request.
However, Klopp and Liverpool were adamant that they weren’t selling him and were true to their word, despite reported offers of over £100m coming in for the player.
Fans aren’t willing to completely forgive straight away though, with one saying he had a lot of grovelling to do – and that he could make it up with goals.
Others warned fans inside the ground not to boo as it could have a negative impact on the team’s performance.
The overriding message was supportive, although lots of fans are wondering what sort of reception he’ll get if he’s introduced into the action.

Be interesting to see what kind of reception Coutinho gets tonight when he comes on, Sanchez received a mixed one at Arsenal on Saturday.

Coutinho needs to be greeted with the roar of anfield. He doesn't deserve it but that will teach him more of a lesson than booing him. #LFC

Cant believe we seriously rejected 130M from Barca for Coutinho and spent 30M on Oxlade Chamberlain to not start either of them in the CL
