OPINION

Everton are reportedly in a battle to sign Borussia Dortmund wonderkid Emre Mor this summer, but face stiff competition for his signature.

The Sun claim that the Toffees will fight against top-flight clubs Liverpool, Roma, Fiorentina and Inter Milan for the attacker’s signature.

It is understood that the 20-year-old is available for a bargain £12million this summer and that Dortmund will only consider a departure on a permanent basis, despite him only signing 12 months ago.

Italian club Fiorentina are trying hard with a £10.7million bid for the Turkey internatonal, but Mor is keen to experience the Premier League.

The report details that Everton have been alerted to the situation of the wide man and that manager Ronald Koeman is prepared to continue their summer spending.

Good move for Everton?

Mor is an exciting young talent and is someone that would fit into the plans at Goodison Park, a young attacker desperate to make an impact at senior level.

The right winger may not have made a big breakthrough at Dortmund, but he is still just 20 and has untapped potential that Koeman could exploit.

He showed glimpses during his 19 appearances of his qualities and is recognised for his brilliant technical ability on the ball.

Mor would be another strong addition for the Toffees and provide some great competition for the likes of Ademola Lookman, Kevin Mirallas, Sandro Ramirez and Dominic Calvert-Lewin out wide.

Likely to happen?

Mor does fit the description of a Koeman signing and it’s quite easy to imagine him in an Everton shirt next season.

The Toffees are known to be keen on the talented youngster and would stand a real chance if they decided to match the £12million asking price for the Dortmund winger.

However, a major stumbling block will be the number of rivals also chasing the rising star and Merseyside neighbours Liverpool could be the biggest problem of all.
