Brendan Rodgers still needs to add a winger to his Celtic side this summer and Arsenal’s Jeff Reine-Adelaide could be the perfect replacement for Patrick Roberts.

French newspaper L’Equipe claim Ligue 1 outfit Nantes are interested in luring the Frenchman back to his home country, two years after joining the Gunners from Lens for just over £2million.

It is said that Nantes want to sign the 19-year-old on loan this summer, with two years still remaining on the attacking midfielder’s current contract at the Emirates Stadium.

The Arsenal youngster is way down the pecking order at north London as he continues to develop his potential talent, with the likes of Alex Iwobi, Alexis Sanches, Mesut Ozil, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Theo Walcott all above him in the pecking order.

That should see him be made available to leave on loan if interested parties declared their interest in the nine-time France Under-19 international.

Celtic are no closer to signing Manchester City attacker Patrick Roberts after the former Fulham ace returned to the Etihad following the expiration of his loan on Parkhead.

The 20-year-old starred in the green and white of Rodgers’ side, scoring 11 goals and laying on a further 19 assists in his 43 league and cup outings for the 48-time Scottish champions.

His attacking influence is yet to be replaced by Rodgers, with Jonny Hayes not viewed as Roberts’ long-term replacement as he turned 30 earlier this summer.

Celtic need a new, exciting young talent that boasts skill, pace and an eye for goal to boost their chances not only in achieving a second successive treble, but success in the Champions League too.

Step forward Reine-Adelaide, who has showed an attacking tenacity and enthusiasm in his eight senior appearances for the Gunners.

Making 21 career appearances for Arsenal’s second string, Reine-Adelaide has shown an eye for goal and a creative nous to have a hand in six goals, scoring twice and laying on four assists.

Able to play anywhere in attacking midfielder, the Arsenal youngster would be the perfect summer signing for Celtic as he boasts all the attacking traits required by Rodgers in order to replace Roberts.
