Ronald Koeman’s new-look Everton kick off their 2017-18 Premier League campaign on Saturday afternoon by playing host to Stoke City at Goodison Park.
The Toffees manager has brought in a whole host of new faces to the Merseyside club this summer, after losing Romelu Lukaku to Manchester United for £75million plus add-ons.
There will be plenty of pressure on Everton’s new stars to shine in front of the home crowd, as Koeman looks for his side to break the mould at the top of the Premier League table and force their way into the top six.
Koeman will know the importance of getting off to a good start against Stoke and he will need all guns blazing if he is to earn three points against Mark Hughes’ side, who are likely to sit behind the ball and defend.
