OPINION

Everton reportedly sent scouts to watch Trabzonspor playmaker Yusuf Yazici at the weekend.

News outlet Turkish-Football claims that representatives were sent from the Toffees to cast their eye over the 20-year-old.

It is understood that scouts from Merseyside rivals Liverpool were also present for the Super Lig clash that Trabzonspor won 2-1.

The report details that scouts from across Europe were present to monitor the highly-rated talent that has burst on to the scene in Turkey during the past 12 months.

Good move for Everton?

Yazici is a promising player that could be a good signing for Everton and it could be smart to sign him now before his valuation rises dramatically.

The youngster made 22 appearances last season for Trabzonspor, scoring six goals and supplying 10 assists in return.

He is making a big impression in the Turkish league and also already has one Turkey International cap under his belt.

However, Everton boss Ronald Koeman already has a number of options in his potion and there is no certainty that he could perform in English football.

Likely to happen???

Everton are still at the very early stages of a move for Yazici and a deal is still a long way off.

They were one of several clubs that watched him at the weekend and there is set to be a big battle for his signature if he becomes available.

Yazici does fit the mould of a potential target and is an upcoming talent that would be given an opportunity to develop at Goodison Park.

However, Gylfi Sigurdsson is reportedly on the verge of a move to the Toffees and would be one of several players above him in the pecking order.
