Attackers
Hadi Sacko (Right-wing) – Speed machine Sacko has been forced to watch from the sidelines as Kemar Roofe continues to impress, but with Wood’s departure, an attacking reshuffle is needed and he must start.
Samuel Saiz (Attacking midfield) – The Spaniard is quickly proving to be Leeds’ signing of the summer with four goals already this season. With Hernandez out, Christiansen should use the former Huesca ace in attacking midfield.
Stuart Dallas (Left-wing) – Northern Ireland international Dallas rounded off Saturday’s win with an expert header in the second half, but he is yet to prove why he should start over Alioski. Against Newport, though, he can prove to Christiansen and fans alike that he deserves a start against Nottingham Forest.
Kemar Roofe (Striker) – With Wood sold to Burnley, Ekuban injured and Souleymane Doukara now expected to miss the clash due to interest from other sides, it will be between Roofe or Saiz to lead Leeds’ attack. However, with Hernandez injured, Saiz should stick to his preferred number 10 role, giving 24-year-old Roofe a new role up front.
