Goalkeeper and defenders

Jordan Pickford (Goalkeeper) – Pickford should remain between the sticks after keeping his second clean sheet in two competitive outings for the Toffees, as he continues to develop an understanding with Everton’s defenders.

Cuco Martina (Right-back) – Signed from Southampton, Martina should come in to the side if Koeman looks to field a back four once again, after he came off the bench against Stoke on Saturday.

Michael Keane (Centre-back) – Keane has been a rock at the back since joining the club, playing every single minute of the Toffees’ three competitive matches this season so far and keeping three clean sheets. He must start.

Ashley Williams (Centre-back) – Williams would surely be Koeman’s choice to partner Keane at centre-back, with Phil Jagielka likely to be in need of a rest after Saturday.

Leighton Baines (Left-back) – Probably one of the first names on the team sheet, Everton do not have cover on the left side of defence and that should see Baines picked without hesitation.
