Leeds United look to have tied up another summer signing, in the shape of Hamburg’s Pierre-Michel Lasogga.
The 25-year-old striker is set to sign on a season-long loan deal, according to Phil Hay, a journalist with the Yorkshire Evening Post.
He announced the news on his official Twitter account on Tuesday afternoon.
Word from Germany is that Lasogga will join #lufc. Season-long loan. Has gone back to Hamburg this evening to get affairs in order.

Lasogga has made 107 appearances for Hamburg, scoring 30 goals and adding four assists.
He came from Hertha Berlin where he scored 24 goals in 69 appearances.
He’s yet to play for his club this season and now looks set to add his goal-scoring prowess to Thomas Christiansen’s side.
The majority of Leeds fans are delighted with the news and look forward to seeing what the German striker can do in the Championship.

good for both parties. He doesn't take a wage cut and Leeds don't have to pay 50k pw. Then if hes good and we go up then we sign him #lufc

Fits perfectly to the Championship. Very good physis, headers and a decent shot. Actually that kind of player Wood was. Scored a lot for HSV

A loan for this Lassogga makes a lot of sense to me just pleased we've signed the player

Smart business- we keep the money from Wood for now, get a quality striker and get Hamburg to help pay his wages- whats not to like?

This might not be the end of Leeds’ transfer activity this summer, with a report in the Daily Mail transfer blog on Tuesday (2.57pm) saying that Leeds are also signing Malmo’s forward Pawel Cibicki, 23, for £1.5million.
They have also reportedly made an enquiry for Newcastle striker Dwight Gayle.
