Leeds United look to have tied up another summer signing, in the shape of Hamburg’s Pierre-Michel Lasogga.

The 25-year-old striker is set to sign on a season-long loan deal, according to Phil Hay, a journalist with the Yorkshire Evening Post.

He announced the news on his official Twitter account on Tuesday afternoon.

Lasogga has made 107 appearances for Hamburg, scoring 30 goals and adding four assists.

He came from Hertha Berlin where he scored 24 goals in 69 appearances.

He’s yet to play for his club this season and now looks set to add his goal-scoring prowess to Thomas Christiansen’s side.

The majority of Leeds fans are delighted with the news and look forward to seeing what the German striker can do in the Championship.

They have also reportedly made an enquiry for Newcastle striker Dwight Gayle.
