The Arsenal squad recently jetted off for their pre-season tour of Australia and China, and during their first few friendly fixtures a lot has been learned about the squad.

New signings Alexandre Lacazette and Sead Kolasinac had a place on the plane and both made their debuts during the Gunners’ 2-0 win over Sydney FC on Thursday.

There were a number of notable absentees from Arsene Wenger’s squad including Keiran Gibbs, Mathieu Debuchy, Carl Jenkinson and Wojciech Szczesny which plunged their futures in to doubt.

Jack Wilshere didn’t fly to Australia as he is still suffering from a fractured leg after he returned from a season-long loan at Bournemouth, and star Alexis Sanchez was also allowed to sit out of the tour following the Confederations Cup.

Since flying to Australia the club has won both of their friendly matches against Sydney FC and Western Sydney Wanderers.
