Everton have agreed to the terms of the transfer of wide forward Josh Bowler to the club from Championship side QPR, it was confirmed on Friday.

The official Toffees Twitter account and website announced that the club had continued with their busy summer and that the 18-year-old had signed a three-year deal.

Bowler is a highly-rated teenager and made his professional debut for QPR back in May in a Championship clash against Norwich.

The Englishman will now be looking to continue his progression with David Unsworth’s Under-23s team, who won the Premier League 2 in the last campaign.

Bowler has the ability to play on either wing and is more natural on the right side, providing the club with plenty of versatility.

Ronald Koeman’s team have already added Michael Keane, Jordan Pickford, Davy Klaassen, Henry Onyekuru and Sandro Ramirez to the senior squad this summer with a Europa League campaign upcoming.

Meanwhile, Bowler joins Nathangelo Markelo and Boris Mathis, who have both also made the switch to the club’s Under-23s as Everton look to build for the future after promoting a number of young players into the first team over the past year.

The Merseysiders have found success in each of Ademola Lookman and Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who both also joined from the Football League and Toffees fans will be hoping Bowler can follow in the same way.
