Wolves looking to raid Premier League clubs after squads announced

|

Wolves are waiting until the Premier League clubs announce their 25-man squads before making a raid on their players, according to reliable journalist Tim Nash.

Nash, who previously worked as the deputy chief sports writer for the Express and Star has reported on his personal Twitter account on Wednesday afternoon that the Midlands clubs were eyeing moves for a young striker from either Manchester City or Chelsea and a goalkeeper from Liverpool once the squads are confirmed.

Both Manchester City and Chelsea have bloated academies after bringing in young talent from across the world.

Many end up leaving on loan for the season and Wolves may be looking at a similar move which has seen them take both Cameron Borthwick-Jackson and Sheyi Ojo from Manchester United and Liverpool respectively in recent seasons.

Meanwhile, Liverpool currently have four senior goalkeepers on their books with each of Loris Karius, Simon Mignolet, Adam Bogdan and Danny Ward and one may miss out on the 25-man Reds squad with Jurgen Klopp looking to put more outfield players in.

Therefore, one could end up at Wolves for the next campaign with the experienced Carl Ikeme holding the number one shirt for the last five seasons.
