West Ham make progress on Arnautovic and Hernandez

West Ham have made progress in bringing in attacking duo Marko Arnautovic and Javier Hernandez, according to ExWHUemployee.

The Hammers insider, who has become a reliable source of transfer information for the east London club has reported on his personal Twitter account on Tuesday afternoon that Slaven Bilic’s side have taken positive steps in securing the Bayer Leverkusen and Stoke pair alongside Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart.

The claim from ExWHUemployee follows on from a Tweet from Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol stating that a deal for striker Hernandez could be done in the next week.

Meanwhile, the Times reported on Saturday that Bilic was confident of securing a deal for left-winger Arnautovic this summer despite having a £20million bid rejected.

Both players would add some much needed firepower to the West Ham team who finished finished with Michail Antonio as their top scorer last season with a return of nine goals in all competitions.

Hernandez alone bagged 13 times in 36 matches in all competitions for Bayer Leverkusen in the last campaign.

Meanwhile, Arnautovic returned seven goals and six assists from 35 appearances in all competitions from a wide role for the Potters last season.

Bilic will be hoping to announce new signings soon with veteran Pablo Zabaleta the only player to have made the switch to east London so far.
