Rangers and Hearts are in the hunt for teenage Leicester midfielder Hamza Choudhury, according to HITC Sport.

The news website claims that the Premiership duo are looking at a loan move for the 19-year-old midfield enforcer.

It is said that the Midlands club have high hopes for the Englishman and they are now looking for him to gain further first team experience after previously spending two spells with Burton in League One and the Championship.

It is also reported that a number of clubs in England have expressed an interest in taking the defensive midfielder on loan, but both the Gers and Hearts are hoping to lure him to the Premiership.

Caixinha is claimed to view Choudhury as a “key addition” to his plans this summer after already adding nine players, including central midfielders Carlos Pena, Ryan Jack and Graham Dorrans in his first window in charge.

Last season the Ibrox giants took advantage of the loan market by bringing in two midfielders from the Premier League in the forms of Emerson Hyndman and Jon Toral from Bournemouth and Arsenal respectively.

They may now be keen to work a similar deal for Choudury, who has made 28 senior appearances so far in his career.
