Spanish forward Nolito is scheduled to travel to Spain on Sunday ahead of a transfer from Manchester City to Sevilla in a seven-figure deal, according to the Daily Mail.

The news outlet have detailed on their website on Saturday that the 30-year-old is heading back to his homeland to complete his medical after the two sides agreed a fee worth £8million.

It is said that the Manchester club were determined to allow the player they brought in just last summer for £13.8million to leave permanently, despite a “number of requests” asking about a loan move.

Nolito has had a troublesome single campaign in England, returning just six goals and five assists in 30 matches in all competitions.

He will now be looking to recapture his form in Sevilla, while also hoping to add to his 16 caps for the senior Spain side with the World Cup approaching next summer.

Manchester City, meanwhile have been very busy this summer under Pep Guardiola with the likes of Kyle Walker, Bernardo Silva, Ederson and Douglas Luiz all joining for big money.

This has also resulted in a number of outgoings also and the likes of Pablo Zabaleta, Willy Caballero and Gael Clichy have all left, with Noltio now expected to join the list in the near future.
