A deal has been finalised quicker than expected for Barry Douglas and he is set to be announced a Wolves player shortly, according to reliable journalist Tim Spiers.
The Express and Star writer has reported on his personal Twitter account on Saturday afternoon that negotiations have gone well for the 27-year-old Konyaspor left-back and he could be confirmed imminently.

The Tweet follows on from the official Wolves Twitter account confirming on Friday that a deal had been agreed “in principle” with Konyaspor for the Scottish defender and that talks were now ongoing to complete the deal.

But, it would now appear there has been some progress following Spiers’ Tweet and Wolves could be about to announce their fourth signing of the summer window for a pricey £1million.
The Midlands side have been quick to push forward with their recruitment following the appointment of ex-Porto manager Nuno Espirito Santo this summer and they have looked to strengthen their back line significantly with the purchases of centre-back duo Roderick Miranda and Ryan Bennett alongside right-back Phil Ofosu-Ayeh.
Left-back Douglas would complete the new look back four and he played in 31 matches in all competitions for Konyaspor last season, which included four appearances in the Europa League.
Douglas has had a so far colourful career to date, playing in home nation Scotland before departing for Poland in 2013 with Lech Poznan before then moving to Turkey. It is now looking as though England is almost certain to be his next destination.
