West Ham must launch an eleventh hour bid to hijack Norwich attacker Jacob Murphy’s £12million move to Newcastle.
BBC Sport claim on their website that the 22-year-old is set to discuss personal terms with Rafa Benitez’s side and is also about to undergo a medical to become the Toon’s third signing of the summer.
Murphy scored an impressive nine goals and laid on a further eight assists last season in 40 league and cup encounters, prompting Newcastle to land the England Under-21 international quickly this summer.
But Hammers boss Slaven Bilic could still have time to sway Murphy’s mind and tempt him to move to east London instead of moving miles away from home to the north east with Newcastle.
