Newcastle appear to have lost the race to sign FC Metz winger Ismaila Sarr and that he is now set to secure a move Stade Rennais.
French outlet Ouest Football report that the 19-year-old will secure an imminent move to Ligue 1 side Rennais and that the deal is likely to cost at least £13.4million.
It is understood that Newcastle previously bid £10.7million for the attacker, but it seems that he will not be moving to the Premier League this summer.
Rafael Benitez has been keen to strengthen his wide positions already in the transfer market and Sarr was one of his major target.
However, the Magpies have already added wingers Jacob Murphy from Norwich and Christian Atsu from Chelsea ahead of their return to the top flight.
They also already have Matt Ritchie and Rolando Aarons at their disposal, but may feel they are a little short of quality out wide.
